About us

The Syed Design Group has been designing, and more recently building,
homes along the 30A corridor since 2003. A native of Karachi, Pakistan, Syed
attended college at The Ohio State University where he met his wife Jenifer,
also an architecture student. After graduation he started a design firm in
Columbus, Ohio (which he still maintains), but in 1996, while on a family vacation,
he discovered Rosemary Beach. “When we first came to Rosemary, there was one
main house and a couple of carriage houses under construction. I could see what
was going to happen though. That was the beginning of my story and love affair
with Rosemary Beach and 30A. I dreamt that one day I would purchase property
here and relocate my design practice and my family to the gulf coast. That
opportunity came in 2003 after the economy in Ohio was hard hit by the events
of 9/11, but the Emerald Coast was a wide open book.”
